Q. How do I get something I've written to be published on Verso?
Easy. When you have finished writing and proof-read your article, tutorial, poem, story, etc etc... Hit the Publish button. This makes the literature visible to people viewing your profile. It also means that you can hit the "Submit to Verso" button, on the literature page.
This sends your writing directly to our Publishing section, where we will check thats it ready to publish to Verso. We are looking for original storys, yarns, facts, gig summaries, production diaries, poems, industry news and anything else you reckon might suit our audience.
Q. I can't be bothered reading the terms of use. Could you give me a quick outline of the rules?
When it comes to the nature of the content we aim to allow the maximum possible artistic freedom on the site. But we do have boundaries. Loudthought is an open site - children can view all of the work on the site. This influences our thinking on what content is appropriate for Loudthought. The following guidelines apply:
- No pornography or sexually explicit material is allowed. We understand that nudity is legitimate area for artistic expression but no images or videos that could be construed as pornographic.
- We are conservative when it comes to images of children - so if you take photos of children any older than infancy then make sure their clothes are on.
- No images or videos depicting bestiality (human to animal sexual relations).
- Be careful with images or videos that have violent content. Anything that condones or promotes violence aint allowed
- Respect copyright. Only upload work that you own the copyright for or for which you have a license. Don't be a dickhead with other peopes work.
- We support freedom of expression but we will not allow works that promote hate or have malicious use of stereotypes intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion or nationality. Political and social commentary can be made without recourse to such material.
